Nokia and Microsoft Joins To Boost Smartphone Sale

The mobile phone maker Nokia and software giant Microsoft will form a strategic alliance, a move that will help fight competition from rivals Google and Apple in the smartphone market.

The alliance announced today, Nokia would adopt your Microsoft Windows as the leading smart phone platform. The two entities form a "comprehensive strategic partnership to use their complementary strengths and capabilities to create a new global mobile ecosystem," Nokia said in a statement.

Both companies have a good presence in India. Faced with intense competition from Apple and Google, the Finn has seen its large share of the smartphone market until recently. The recent association approval comes just months after a veteran of Microsoft, Stephen Elop took over Nokia.
