Scientists say they have discovered the first dinosaur fossil in Angola, and that is a new creation, research has provided a rebirth of the country slowly recovering from decades of war.
A paper was published Wednesday in the Annals of the Brazilian Academy of Science describes a long-necked, plant-eating sauropod, one of the largest creatures ever to walk the earth.
The international team that found and identified a fossilized bones of the forelimb said it was a previously unknown dinosaur, citing the unique characteristics of the skeleton.
The fossil was found with fish and shark teeth in what would have been a seabed 90 million years ago, which led to its discoverers believe dinosaurs may have been washed into the sea and old torn by sharks.
The new dinosaur has been named Adamastor Angolatitan - Angolatitan means "giant of Angola" and is a giant sea Adamastor myths Portuguese sailing.
Matthew F. Bonnan, a sauropod expert at Western Illinois University, has not participated in the research of Angola. But after reading the report, he said he expected their claim to have found a new dinosaur track.
