“Hyderabad Blasts”: When will we Awaken,Haven't we Had Enough

The recent bomb blasts in Hyderabad that shook the nation once again, have given rise to concerns in all Indians .Each of us wants’ this to stop,"no more”. What is self evident is that each time such a thing happens the home ministry issues strong statements, Intellectuals debate on television but in a few days it becomes old news after which it is life is usual the media focuses on fresh news that the people want to hear.

On the ground level we have policeman carrying sticks ,here and there we have paramilitary equipped with world war two weapons, “how do we stop this from keep repeating, when do we mature as a nation and realize that," enough is enough”.

When do we develop our capabilities ,as a nation of more than 1 billion people can there be any doubt in our minds that we do not have sufficient man power, brain power ,technology and resources to handle a few extremists and be a step ahead. We have enough intelligence agencies as the home ministry promptly said that we did have some Intelligence, some early warning signs of impending plots to carry out such disturbing acts.

The NIA that was supposed to be the answer to the failures of RAW, IB and other anti -terrorist Departments working under the Govt of India how does it compare to the American CIA,the FBI or the israeli Mossad for example.

Don't we need to do more to cut down bureaucratic sluggishness in responding to threats; do our ministers understand their job is they capable enough to handle these situations? Would security cameras not have helped us foil such attempts, how much would it cost to cover at least our large cities with security cameras that is in a country that spends billions on defense, are we not taking it too lightly.

Installing the equipment is not the only thing we need professionals who are trained to monitor the screens to identify suspicious behavior to respond in real time and to give a strong response immediately.

Terming Extremism as Islamic or saffron is another problem It just shows the mind set of our political elite that is always primarily concerned with vote bank political .Do they understand religion is there any religion in the world that teaches or propagates hate and such brazen acts.

When such terms are used by politicians it sends a message to so many of our countrymen who are unable to clearly understand the intentions behind the use of such terminology.

We our Indians our multi ethnicity is the beauty of and strength of our country .I think it’s time we all raise and spend some time each one of us to stop the nonsense enough is enough.
